The clots at Manchester council have recently extended chargeable on-street parking hours from 6pm to 8pm in the evenings. Those two hours now add an extra £5.40 to the cost of a trip to the city.

I love heading into town after work for many reasons yet live in a (relative) public transport black hole, so driving is the only sensible option. Sadly £5.40 isn’t a sensible figure and I’m stubborn enough to stay away on principle, so I guess there’ll be less of this kind of picture from me in future.
