Gibson Mill

Gibson Mill is a National Trust property and a very ‘green’ building, using a waterwheel and solar panels to generate electricity, woodburners from the managed forest to heat water for the cafe and even boasts a clever human-powered counterbalanced lift. It’s a pleasant riverside walk to get there from the nearest car park a mile or so away and there are lots of great walking and mountain biking opportunities in the wilds beyond.
