It’s a year to the day since I took this photo of the Metropolis building at the end of Gran Via, Madrid, wrestling with unfamiliar menus in a struggle to liberate the creative potential of a little camera I’d balanced on some railings using a gorillapod.  Yes I swore and cursed and wished for my SLR, but in the end I don’t think I’d have done too much better with it (at least for smaller prints) as my ‘Madrid Sin Visor‘ book demonstrates.

One day I’ll get back with some decent kit and do it properly.
