I’m a bit of a sucker for graffiti and other assorted urban details, so these shutters were an obvious target for the super discreet Pentax K-m and DA40 Limited combo I was using for street shooting at the time. Just as I lined up the shot I noticed in the corner of my eye these two youngsters walking towards the frame with cigarettes in hand.

In a split second I’d composed a mental image using this duality of real life and fantasy smoke, all that was required was a little deft timing…  which I think I managed.  Do you agree?
