In the years since taking up photography I’ve watched this area being turned from a barren patch of post-industrial wasteland into a fully operational northern base for the British Broadcasting Corporation. This was my first visit back to the area since completion so it seemed fitting to record the occasion with a photograph.  I really enjoyed the slow and deliberate capture process here, after all a lot of 2012 has been spent at events doing reactive, on-the-fly photography and this daytime long exposure was a slight return to the more considered work of previous years.
